Angelo Giardino   <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"s2\">2003<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"s2\">Anmerkungen zu Universalgelehrten<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"s2\">Als ausgebildeter Maler hat er bei der Gestaltung seiner Assemblagen die Malerei nicht aufgegeben, sondern hat sie zu einem der Mittel gemacht, die er bei einer Suche einsetzt, die sich an den Grenzen der bildenden K\u00fcnste bewegt und reichlich von jenen Verfahren der Dekontextualisierung und Rekontextualisierung von Objekten (selbst solchen, die eigentlich weniger bedeutsam sind) Gebrauch macht, die bereits anderen k\u00fcnstlerischen Str\u00f6mungen des 20. Jahrhunderts am Herzen lagen. Das Ergebnis ist \u00e4u\u00dferst originell und entfaltet eine ganz eigene darstellerische Wirksamkeit. Cecconellos Universalgelehrte bilden eine Welt f\u00fcr sich, die einen eisernen Griff auf die reale Welt aus\u00fcbt und die durch einen Prozess der Ausarbeitung zu einer Darstellung gelangt, die die statische und ernste Kraft der Ikone, die unumst\u00f6\u00dfliche Genauigkeit des Symbols und die Inbrunst des religi\u00f6sen Bildes besitzt.    <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"s2\">Cecconello ist ein K\u00fcnstler, der sich nicht vor der Welt scheut; im Gegenteil, er setzt sich mit ihr in all ihren Facetten auseinander \u2013 mit ironischer Offenheit und einer von Grund auf spielerischen Haltung. Er versucht nicht, die Realit\u00e4t der Geschichte und der Nachrichten durch eine Fiktion zu ersetzen, sondern er\u00f6ffnet in seiner Kunst einen Darstellungsprozess, der die reale Welt neu verortet und sie in einem anderen Licht, in einer noch realeren Welt, offenbart. Man k\u00f6nnte sagen, dass die allt\u00e4gliche Realit\u00e4t in seinen Augen ein Kartenspiel ist, mit dem man eine Unendlichkeit anderer Spiele erfinden und k\u00fchne Konstruktionen errichten kann.    <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"s2\">Diese Darstellung beinhaltet weder Gerichtsverfahren noch, geschweige denn, Urteile: Stattdessen wird es der Ikone anvertraut \u2013 sei es die anonyme Halbb\u00fcste, die das wiederkehrende Hauptmotiv der Universalgelehrten bildet, oder irgendein anderer Gegenstand, den der K\u00fcnstler aufgreift und umdeutet, wodurch er dessen Bedeutung radikal ver\u00e4ndert \u2013, die Aufgabe, das verstreute und chaotische R\u00e4tsel mit ihrer stillen Fragestellung zu veranschaulichen: In der Strenge seiner Darstellung verst\u00e4rkt Cecconello die Kraft der Sphinx, indem er ihre Pr\u00e4senz in jedem Objekt andeutet, selbst in den banalsten und harmlosesten, die manchmal eine Seele in einem (zuvor ungeahnten) \u201eAn-sich\u201c finden, manchmal diese durch die Beziehungen zu anderen, ebenso (zuvor) unbedeutenden Objekten erlangen.
